Cortlandt Medical Center, acquired by Gyrodyne Company of America Inc. in June 2008, is located at 1985 Crompond Road, directly across the street from the Hudson Valley Hospital Center (now affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital) on the City of Peekskill border. The hospital is the first magnet hospital in the region and recently completed a $100 million building program that expanded the hospital's space by 80 percent.
Upon acquisition, Gyrodyne made significant capital improvements including expanded parking facilities, updated landscaping, new courtyard benches and picnic tables, Belgian block borders in the parking lot area, re-graded sidewalks, new directory signs and awnings, upgraded parking lot lighting, and a new main-level handicapped accessible ramp. A new recycling program and bicycle racks reflect a commitment to tenant safety and environmental awareness.
In addition, the technical support that Gyrodyne provides to all its medical office properties includes an Internet-driven Landport Property Management System. This system enables tenants to submit maintenance requests, 24/7, via a secure web site, which immediately notifies the property managers and the preferred service vendor, thus dramatically cutting response time to every tenantís need.
